I highly recommend you read up on your local laws about the subject, because you seem to be missing a lot of info!Īnd why take umbrage with it, now? Nintendo Life has promoted several emulation devices in their articles. Otherwise, Microsoft and the community that update Linux would also be sued by Nintendo, because emulators have been running on Windows, Linux and Mac for literal decades. They also cannot take legal action because an emulator runs on an OS. And Valve is simply advertising "hey, this thing runs on our OS." Because Yuzu is built from scratch, Nintendo CANNOT take legal action against the emulation creator, because it is now their own official program data. Thing with Yuzu, by itself, it's totally fine. Nobody bats an eye about emulating entire OSes. It's done in technology businesses around the world. So you can run Windows on a Mac, or run Linux on Windows for example. On any of those systems, you can emulate the other using a virtual machine. ![]() Take for example Windows, Linux, and Mac OS. ![]()
